Meet Our Team

Learn more about The Kahm Clinic via this introduction video - and meet some of our team members below.

At The Kahm Clinic, our mission is to help people attain optimal health using effective and technologically-advanced treatment methods that identify malnourishment and disordered eating in individuals much earlier than standard systems. We have both expertise and experience when it comes to identifying and treating eating disorders, using Metabolic Testing and Body Composition Analysis to determine the best nutrition habits for each individual. We hope that our patients can learn to take care of their minds and bodies, ultimately enjoying happy, healthy, and fulfilled lives.

Our Founder

Our founder’s initial interest in eating disorders developed from personal experience. As a teenager in Sweden, Annika Kahm, MS, Clinical Nutritionist, tried to cope with her dysfunctional family by controlling her weight. After failing at being a “good anorexic,” she turned to binge eating, over-exercising, and then purging when an injury left her unable to workout. She felt trapped by this dangerous path but didn’t know how to break the vicious cycle.

As Annika learned how to best treat her own body, she wanted to help others recover from eating disorders and become their healthiest selves. After practicing medical nutrition therapy for years at the Wilkins Center for Eating Disorders in Greenwich, Connecticut, she struck out on her own and opened The Kahm Clinic, which now has locations in Burlington, Vermont; Gilbert, Arizona (near Phoenix); and Newton, Massachusetts (near Boston).

With over 30 years of experience, Annika is one of the pioneers of using Metabolic Testing and Body Composition Analysis to treat eating disorders. She is the co-author of four books, including Measuring Health From the Inside: Nutrition, Metabolism & Body Composition, a regular lecturer at professional conferences, and a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders, the National Eating Disorder Association, and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.

She lives in Vermont — an area that reminds her of growing up in Sweden — where she runs The Kahm Clinic with her son and daughter-in-law and enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren.
